For those archaeology enthusiasts,
our area features the famous Mesa Verde and Aztec ruins, Chimney
Rock, Chaco Canyon, with famous Gallup, NM not far away, all of
which you can find the rich history of the Native Americans.
Farmington, New Mexico, a major regional center, is located to the
Southwest, approximately 65 miles, and has one of the best golf
courses in the Four Corners area.
Pagosa Springs (35 minutes to the
Northeast) is also in our colorful area and is home of the naturally
hot therapeutic mineral baths, featuring over 15 mineral bath hot tubs
laid out along narrow paths. Pagosa Springs is also home of Wolf Creek
Ski area, which boasts the most snow in Colorado. Additional
wilderness areas provide ample trails for 4-wheeling, snowmobiling,
hiking, and pack trips for high mountain fishing and camping. |
